who believe protecting guns are more important than protecting children?

when did Jesus say blessed are the those who refuse border entry
to suffering families whose lives are in danger and only want a chance to live freely.

when did Jesus say blessed are the book banners
who believe that free speech is threatening, and open minds are harmful?

when did Jesus say blessed are those who are offended by diversity, equity, and inclusion
because accepting other cultures and looking through a lens of equity would mean that racism still exists?

Jesus never said those things and never would
He would flip those tables with rage

Jesus said blessed are the poor in spirit
	those in need of a loving god will be held
blessed are those who mourn
	those who suffer in grief will be comforted
blessed are the meek
	the quiet and gentle among us will take care of the earth
blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness
	those who work for justice will be rewarded
blessed are the pure in heart 
	those who live in honesty and truth will see Light
blessed are the peacemakers
	those who seek unity and reconciliation in conflict are the children of God

Jesus was not put on that cross to die
for American greed and politics
or for those who are trying to justify
hatred and privilege

he was put there for the criminals on his right and left
for the lepers who were outcast and needed healing
for the women who had never been listened to
for the poor who needed fish and loaves of bread

Jesus told stories, healed, and loved those who needed it most
and he gave his life for them
that is the gospel truth

his message has been stolen and altered

and
Jesus 
wept
